It has been awhile since there has been any new content on this blog and so I want to share with you just what has been going on or at least a little of what has been going on.
Over the last month or so I have been overwhelmed with schoolwork and just trying to keep up with school and leadership. And for a while I was trying to keep up with a relationship. I found that it was so hard to balance all of these things at once. A friend of mine described all these things in such a great way. He said that we need to think of our life as a triangle, where God is on one point on the triangle, relationships are on another, and schoolwork on the last point. In a perfect world that triangle would be perfectly balanced but I don’t know if you have noticed but we live in a world far from perfect.
There are times that we focus too much on one thing and lose focus on the other two parts of the triangle. We can focus all our attention on schoolwork and lose sight of God and our relationships, we can focus all our attention on our relationships and lose focus on God and schoolwork, we can also focus all our attention on God (nothing wrong with this) and lose sight of our schoolwork and our relationships. Our relationship with God is very important but so is our schoolwork and relationships with others. So the question dawns on me what do I do?
That is a great question to just sit here and think about. There is no right or wrong answer to it, it a question I think that we should venture out and work to find the answer. I also encourage you to just ask yourself this question and see what God puts on your heart. Find a way to be able to make this triangle be balanced to spend enough time on each part but not spending to much time on one part over the other. Cherish your time with each part whether it is with God, schoolwork, or with others. Don’t forget that God loves you; He always has and always will!
Here are some lyrics that stuck out to me and pushed me to write this post. Enjoy the lyrics and video.
Praise the Lord when it seems too hard
Praise the Lord ‘cause in every moment Jesus Christ is Lord
Even in the middle of the long, dark night
There is always grace enough today to
